About Me
I'm just, you know, interested.

My biggest concern is the possibility of an influenza pandemic. There's "preparedness" and there's "response". The time to prepare is now. Whatever that means. There, I said it. :-)
What I'm contributing to humanity and the planet
Tough one. I think nothing much. Much less than what I receive, that's for sure! Or ask me tomorrow.

I translated much of Edward de Bono's educational material into Spanish: http://www.edwdebono.com/spanish and I'm a hats+po fan.
I joined Jeff Archambeault's http://www.openideaproject.org after writing to Bruce Perens' technocrat.net's about "hey, engineers are optimists who think stuff can get done".
I joined Andrius Kulikauskas' Minciu Sodas Laboratory http://www.ms.lt because he wrote about "work for gain and work for loss" and I was intrigued about the latter: giving stuff away is cool!

You said: Does this post show up? Sorry, but I don't know if people stopped posting stuff on Nov 21 or there's a bug in the software or what.

I see what might be the problem.

When you're in the forum space, you might not find the post. Try switching the "Sort by" option between "Latest Activity", "Newest Discussions" and "Most Popular" and see what shows up.

Lucas, I'm very interested in your Square Foot Gardening ideas, including the system for watering that you mentioned to Mel Bartholomew. Can you e me any links or files on this? We're going to be attempting an experiment in our backyard that includes a webcam and (hopefully cell phone driven) automated/remote control watering system...any experience/suggestions/guidance welcome!
