I just set op this open source torch table group to take open engineering to the next level of development at OSE. The goal is to develop an effective process for open product development, which is based loosely on the OSE product cycle.
The torch table is the first product of interest. We're at the stage of gathering a real development team - for technical development and review.
I'm looking for poeple who can critique this work, and I am inviting them to this network.
Here is our problem statement: we have a basic design for a torch table, with design rationale shown on the wiki.
Working questions are: is there any critique of the design as shown in the design rationale, and issues mentioned there?
The good news is - if enough people support open source projects, they are proven to provide superior product to proprietary versions. Thus, let's work together openly.
